Migration Matters e.V. is an award-winning non-profit organization based in Berlin, Germany that aims to empower the public to have more nuanced and evidence-based conversations about migration, refugees, and diversity. Founded in January 2016 in reaction to media coverage about the “refugee crisis”, the organization makes research and nuanced perspectives about migration accessible to the public through bite-sized video series and supplementing material created together with experts, practitioners, and the public. Migration Matters’ over 130 videos and 9 video series are used broadly on social media, in classrooms and teacher training programs, in digital journalism, and in advocacy efforts across Europe and beyond.
